From the back cover

For three years, Lionel Jensen has lived as Nicole Grantham's kept man, wanting nothing more than a life of leisure under her generous allowance. Then twelve overseas funds join forces to short the Grantham Group, and the family's world begins to collapse: Leopold Grantham is forced to resign, his two eldest daughters are taken in for questioning, and Nicole is cornered at the negotiating table.

When his black card is declined at a boutique and the family's assets are sealed, Lionel seems to care only about the watch he could not buy and the size of his allowance. Yet he is not what he appears, and a single phone call could change everything.

As Nicole prepares to send him out of the country for his own protection, the family's contempt for him grows. What no one suspects is what Lionel was before he became a kept man.

Inside the book Opening excerpt

I had nothing going for me except my looks. Even her younger brother said I wouldn't last three days outside the Grantham family.

I didn't care. After all, I used to head the Global Financial Order Council.
