Copyright & Takedown Policy

Last updated Sep 27, 2026

Welcome to the copyright desk here at Splash Pages — pull up a stool and we'll keep this plain.

We respect other people's work

Splash Pages is a small shelf of opening chapters, and we take intellectual property seriously. We don't claim any rights in the books we feature, and we're happy to act when a rights holder asks us to.

What you can ask us to remove

If something on our shelves shouldn't be there, you can ask us to take down:

  • a book's page on Splash Pages,
  • the preview chapters shown on that page,
  • the cover image used on that page.

What a valid notice needs

To help us sort it out quickly, please include all of the following in your message:

  • identification of the copyrighted work you believe is being used without permission;
  • the exact URL or URLs on Splash Pages where the material appears;
  • your contact details, so we can reply to you;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised by the rights owner, its agent, or the law;
  • a statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the rights owner or are authorised to act on the owner's behalf;
  • your physical or electronic signature.

Where to send it

Send your notice by email to the address below. That's the only channel we use for these requests, and a plain email is fine.

Email your notice to: contact@customsplashpages.net

What we do next

We review notices as they come in and, where the request checks out, we remove or disable access to the page, the preview chapters or the cover promptly. If we take something down, we may let the person who posted it know.

If something was removed by mistake

If your material was taken down in error, you can send us a counter-notice. Please include the same kinds of details: what was removed, where it was on Splash Pages, your contact details, a statement of good-faith belief that the material was removed by mistake or misidentification, a statement that the information is accurate, and your physical or electronic signature.

Notices we may set aside

Notices that are clearly repetitive, abusive or made in bad faith may be ignored. We'd rather keep this friendly, so please only write in when you genuinely hold the rights or are authorised to act for someone who does.

Thanks for reading — Splash Pages, fresh chapters, straight off the shelf.

Splash Pages is a small online book rack: browse the shelves, read the first chapters we are allowed to show, and finish the story in the official app.
