A wife works in her husband Tom's company, where he has hired Lynn, a brash new intern in the purchasing department. From the moment Lynn arrives, she mocks the wife as a dinosaur who cannot grasp "Buy Now, Pay Later," boasts that she could take the company public, and refuses to do any shadowing or invoice work.

Lynn then uses the wife's name to charge $999 of snacks at the employees-only grocery store downstairs, calling it a tuition fee and daring anyone to object. When the wife demands repayment and threatens to fire her, Lynn slaps her and insists that CEO Tom hired her personally.

The wife calls Tom to settle the matter, but the phone rings and rings with no answer.
