Confessions Of His Ruined Muse

From the back cover

At eighteen, Nina Russo was the scholarship girl at St. Jude's Academy until Roman Kingsley, the golden boy she trusted, let the whole campus hear her most private sounds and plastered her love letters on the bulletin boards. Expelled while he was merely suspended, she watched him walk away with two sentences that destroyed her family: her father, a gentle teacher, beaten by Roman's bodyguards and left broken; her brother Archie struck by a car two weeks later. Her mother remarried and turned away, and Nina was left with no home.

To pay for her father's psychiatric care, she learned that shame was a currency, trading the honor roll for studio lights. Five years later she works under the name Vivian, and the man in the director's chair is Roman himself, mocking her performance and calling her filthy. When he orders the silk mask removed at a private dinner where she lies as a living centerpiece, her eyes meet his, and the boy who once helped her with calculus is gone.
