From the back cover

A man rushes back from out of town to attend his nephew's parent-teacher conference, only to be mistaken for a kept man by his sister's fiancé, Liam Ellis. Liam, a fitness influencer, brings his friends to the classroom, smashes furniture, and declares the man will pay the price. When the man steps through the door, Liam strikes him with a stick, sending him sprawling to his knees before a crowd of parents.

Liam accuses him of seducing his wife and spending her dowry, showing photos found on her phone. The man insists he is Eleanor Carter's brother, but Liam scoffs, saying her own mother doesn't know she has a son. As Liam's friends close in, the man desperately asks to call his mother on speaker to prove the truth.

Inside the book Opening excerpt

He brought a group of his buddies, smashing classroom furniture, and repeatedly declared that I would pay the price.

The moment I stepped through the door, he struck me with a stick, sending me sprawling to my knees.

"You lowlife, daring to seduce my wife and trying to mess with my son? If I don't teach you a lesson today, I've lived for nothing!"

"Once I cripple you and you're bedridden for the rest of your life, let's see how you leech off rich women then!"
