Five years after their divorce, Chloe runs into her ex-husband Julian at a convenience store at three in the morning. He is buying sanitary pads for his new wife, Tiffany, while Chloe restocks shelves. Julian, a leading psychiatrist, once locked Chloe in a private asylum and forced her to sign a waiver leaving her with nothing. Now he offers her a credit card, but she refuses.

Chloe's father died four years ago after Julian hung up on her plea for help. Julian and Tiffany visit her run-down apartment, where Tiffany taunts her with a gift from the luxury brand Chloe once designed. Chloe tears up an old photo of her and Julian, saying she throws away dirty things. Tiffany then claims Chloe's father was their benefactor, though she framed him for assault, leading to his imprisonment. Julian destroyed evidence that could have cleared him.

Chloe remains calm, determined to move abroad and leave the past behind. But Julian and Tiffany's presence stirs painful memories of betrayal and lost love.

He was there to buy sanitary pads and painkillers for his wife. I was restocking the shelves.

He was in such a rush that he told me he didn't even need a black bag to cover them.

But when our eyes met, he froze.

"Chloe? How... how have you been?"

I instinctively pulled my sleeve down to hide the scars on my wrist. Without a word, I scanned the items and bagged them.

He didn’t leave. His voice was hoarse as he asked, "Are you... do you still hate me?"
