Then, at a party with friends, Ethan peels an entire plate of shrimp for his childhood friend Harper, who explains that peeling shrimp has been their thing for over twenty years. When Chloe asks him about it, he tells her not to make a scene. Harper wears a fresh band-aid on one finger, and Ethan later posts a birthday tribute to her online, something he never did for Chloe.

Chloe walks out, packs her suitcase, and waits for him to come home.
