Stella Morgan, holder of three master's degrees from one of France's most prestigious universities, faces the panel and its host, Ryan Shaw. When CEO Victoria Davenport questions her in French, Stella asks her to repeat it, and the room turns on her as a fraud.

Victoria, who built her brand on a decade in Paris, condemns Stella's diploma as a forgery from a vocational-technical school. Ryan snatches the document, coffee floods it, and the executives slam their buzzers one by one. Stella challenges them to bring in a native French speaker, insisting Victoria is the one who cannot speak the language.

Ryan shoves her off the platform, then announces a panel of French speakers will test her. Victoria corners Stella in the waiting room with a warning: expose her, and Stella will never work in this country again.
