In the tenth year of her marriage, Helena Shen has fallen out of love with her husband Vincent. His touch revolts her, and the day a chandelier falls, his first instinct is to shield his secretary, Tanya. A System warns her that Vincent has abandoned her ninety-nine times; one more instance will send her back to her original world. No one knows she loosened the chandelier wire herself.

At the hospital, Vincent claims he was saving the child in Tanya's womb. Helena asks for a divorce, but he mocks her, certain she has nowhere to go after giving up her chance to return to her own world. Yet she tells him she is going back to her own home.
