From the back cover

For four years she has been married to Nathan Donovan, the arrogant heir she has battled since childhood. Then a car accident erases his memory, trapping him four years in the past, before their wedding. He wakes with no idea he is her husband, and she decides to keep it that way.

With his parents and staff playing along, she tells him the Donovan family is bankrupt and he is now her manservant, bound to cook, clean and wash her feet. The golden boy of Manhattan, once an untouchable ice king, believes every word. Yet his old pajamas in her bedroom and his own stubborn instincts keep stirring questions she cannot easily answer.

When he asks whether her husband is Adam Bell, her first love, the game grows far more dangerous than she intended.
