A young woman is pulled into a horror game alongside her best friend, but their roles split: her friend becomes the final BOSS, while she is dropped into an SSS-Rank instance, The Lost Woods, with the objective to survive for one month. The rules warn against acting alone at night, and the live-stream chat hints that a player must be sacrificed to the BOSS every three days.

She is matched with Carter's elite squad, who treat her as disposable bait, forcing her to keep watch, stealing her points, and finally shoving her toward the BOSS as a human shield. Instead of fighting, she throws herself into the BOSS's arms and whines that the others are bullying her, and the BOSS turns his tentacles on her tormentors.

Carter's squad escapes with a rare item, but the chat's warnings and the coming sacrifice leave her fate in the instance unresolved.
