The city's hottest billionaire heir sneaked into my house late at night and stole my dog. Once he had him, he posted on Instagram: “Finally got my son back.”

The picture was of him and a gigantic Alaskan Malamute.

Half an hour later, the current It-Girl actress posted a selfie from her house: “Waaah, Daddy took my doggie. I’m so lonely by myself.”

The topic blew up. Everyone swooned over their perfect celebrity romance.

I returned to my penthouse after recording my show and saw the empty apartment.

Wait! Where the hell is my dog?

I got home from filming a reality show late in the morning.

Usually, the moment he hears me entering the security code, my dog bolts over, scratching frantically at the door. Today, there was silence.

I pushed the door open and called his name:

"Monster."

"Where are you? Mommy's home."

I called several times, but he didn't respond.

I searched every room. I went through the entire place and couldn't find him.

Fearing something terrible happened to Monster, I immediately checked the security footage.

On the screen, Rhys Shaw, the city's billionaire prince, crept stealthily up to my door. He looked left, then right.

He punched in the code and entered. Monster, who hadn't seen him in two weeks, shamelessly wagged his tail and whined excitedly.

Rhys clipped the leash onto him and led him out.

The whole dog-napping process was so slick it made me laugh from sheer disbelief.

I pulled Rhys’s number out of my blocked list and initiated a video call.

He must have anticipated my call because he answered instantly, then pouted and turned away from the camera in classic arrogant fashion:

"Hmph! Didn't we say whoever looks back first is the dog? Why are you calling me?"

I looked at Monster lying beside him, happily crunching on a treat.

"Do you think I'd call you if you hadn't broken into my house and stolen my dog?"

"Do you even know what trespassing and grand theft are?"

Rhys is Grandma Shaw's favorite grandchild, pampered and arrogant since birth.

He leaned back on the sofa, running his hand over Monster's head, sounding pleased:

"I took my son home. What law did I break?"

I reminded him: "I bought Monster!"

Rhys’s thin lips curved into a smile: "And I raised him from two months old. If you want to see Monster, come home."

I was exhausted from a day of filming and didn't want to argue:

"I'll give you a million dollars. Monster is mine!"

At that, Rhys shot up like a husky whose tail had been stepped on: "Serena Wu, you’ve got some nerve!"

He angrily hung up the call.

A few minutes later, Rhys deliberately posted a photo with Monster on Instagram, captioning it:

"Sneaked my son away from my girlfriend."

I chuckled: "Immature."
