After a luxury car strikes him on his way home from work, a man is dragged from his emergency surgery into court, accused of extortion by the driver, Cedric. The defense attorney who strides in to shield Cedric is Lester, the man's own wife, who told him she was on a business trip abroad. Coldly, she declares herself Cedric's counsel, and under the judge's urging the injured man is made to bow and apologize.

Sent home to pack, he learns the building was never his; Lester says she bought it for Cedric and that she and Cedric are bound by a family arrangement. In a villa, a family photo reveals Lester, Cedric and a three-year-old child, dated to the day his father died while Lester claimed another business trip.

When Cedric learns of him, Lester has him bound in a hospital and his blood drawn for Cedric, then signs consent for a vasectomy. Online, he is branded a homewrecker; his posted marriage certificate is called fake, while Cedric posts his own. Then Lester calls.
