From the back cover

When a king crab in the company's storage is about to die, Louise Langford buys it at its net price of 480 dollars to save the company a loss. Her boss, Mitchell Wright, demands she instead pay the selling price of 88 thousand dollars, then deducts the sum from her year-end bonus and installs his nephew, Zachary Dunn, as her replacement in procurement.

Mitchell accuses Louise of taking kickbacks and refuses her severance, revealing he has long monitored her computer and shared her private chats. Louise built the company's entire supply chain herself, drawing on her father, the biggest seafood supplier, who warns that cutting off the live seafood line would leave inventory to waste.

Louise resigns and demands her 280 thousand in severance, ready to take the fight to the Labor Arbitration Panel.
