Sasha Barlow has just left the hospital after an abortion when Aidan Gallagher calls, ordering her to prepare whiskey and wine for a client and to bring women for the evening. When she asks to skip the night, he brushes aside that Natalie hit her, telling her to put up with his girlfriend because Natalie is spoiled and comes from a good family.

Sasha has long been the one landing Aidan's deals, but she overheard him say she is only an expensive PR girl he hired, fine to play with but never to marry. Now Natalie, the company's CFO, cuts her salary and mocks the money Aidan gives her. After Sasha turns off her phone, Aidan's client meeting collapses, a twenty-million-dollar deal dies, and he demands she fix it, reminding her that without him she would still be flirting for tips in a club.

Sasha agrees only for the sake of her team, though she plans to leave Aidan, the company, and the city in three days. Then Aidan's phone rings, and the word "babe" on the screen makes him push her away.
