At a New Year family gathering, Allison is working overtime on a proposal when her aunt Mary mocks her as a low-paid office drone and has her ten-year-old son Ben delete Allison's files. When Allison tries to send the file from her phone, Mary snatches it away and shuts it off, while Grandma threatens to cut the internet cable and Ben throws a tantrum.

What the family does not know is that the proposal belongs to Allison's cousin Leslie Bolton, a designer whose job depends on winning the deal. Leslie has spent a month on it, and the deadline is eight o'clock sharp, with only minutes left.
