Taking Down My Psycho Prankster Roommate

From the back cover

Jacob is a sports student at the Metropolis Sports Academy, mocked by his roommate Noah, who borrows his new climbing shoes and windbreaker before a summer climb. His girlfriend Clara, Noah's childhood friend, teases him about a surprise for their third anniversary. On the rock face, Noah secretly unties Jacob's safety rope to amuse Clara; Jacob falls, fractures his spine, and is left paralyzed. Noah calls it a joke, and Clara begs Jacob not to pursue charges so Noah can graduate. When the two announce their relationship, Jacob ends his life from a rooftop.

He wakes back on the day of the climb, body whole, with Noah's voice in his ears. This time Jacob knows the rope, the fall, and the betrayal that followed. He also remembers how Clara's mother, Mrs. Thorne, canceled his registration for the national team selection, and how Clara took the spot he gave up.

Jacob lends Noah the shoes and plays along, but he no longer intends to be the naive fool who paves the way for others. Taking back what they stole may cut deeper than revenge.
