Ronan Cooper has spent years as finance manager, guarding the company's reimbursement rules while it grew from a dozen employees to over a thousand. Henry accuses him of hiding behind rules and pocketing money, and the office laughs along. Summoned by finance director Janet Walker, Ronan faces department heads who want him gone, while his resignation request to Victor Manser goes unanswered.

Cornered and mocked, Ronan finally stands, takes up the reports, and answers them all.
