Then Fred embraced Vivian, a woman from Lana's own company, and together they served divorce papers leaving Lana with nothing. Her father, Mr. Gable, struck Fred and was struck in turn by Vivian, while the guests whispered that the twins were Fred and Vivian's all along. Fred sneered that Lana was barren and the fortune was already the children's.
Lana signed with a steady hand, and as Vivian toasted her, a smile played on her lips.
