The Final Three Days of Us

From the back cover

Clara is the most overlooked Omega in her pack, yet she is Alpha Blake Cartman's fated mate. Because of her low status, he never lets her stand beside him at the events they are meant to attend together. For three years she plans every pack gathering alone, and he never once shows her any warmth.

When Blake finally agrees that she may attend the nineteenth event, Clara dresses for the night, only to find another Omega, Wendy Lowe, already at his side. He announces that Wendy is taking her place as Luna, and the memory video Clara made is replaced with clips of the two of them together. The pack watches, waiting for her to break down, but she feels only relief: in three days, the three-year mating contract between her and Blake will end.

Back at the house they share, Clara begins to pack, taking down the photos of the eighteen events she planned. Blake, angry over the itinerary and blaming her for leaving Wendy to manage the guests, expects the outburst she no longer gives him. She stays calm, and the bond that once defined her quietly runs out its final days.
