Four years after Sarah's death, her soul lingers beside her grandmother, who suffers from Alzheimer's and keeps forgetting that Sarah is gone. One evening the old woman wanders to a park and, unable to hear Sarah's ghost, grabs a passerby for help. It is Julian, the man Sarah loved, whose hatred for her has not faded in four years.

Julian believes Sarah is playing a trick, even as the grandmother insists Sarah is only out buying him a birthday gift, and as neighbours reveal the truth he refuses to accept. When he follows the grandmother home and pounds on her door, Sarah can only watch, her fists passing through him.

Trapped between a grandmother who cannot remember and a man who will not believe, Sarah must face the day her love ended.

Four years after I died, my grandmother rummaged through my old things, found my dead cell phone, and somehow managed to call Julian.

"Sarah, it’s been four whole years, and you finally remember to call me?" Julian’s voice was dripping with venom. "What? Did your sugar daddy run out of money? If you’re broke, go sell yourself on the street. Don’t come crying to me."

He didn't stop there. "Let me make this clear. I don't want to see you for a single second. I’d rather be dead."
