For three years, Clara has hosted her colleagues' potlucks at her own home, cooking feasts they always praised. When she resigns, the office insists on one last dinner, and Mandy, the new accountant, collects everyone's grocery money in advance. The meal goes well, and her coworkers even send extra as thanks.

That night, Mandy adds Clara to a group chat called The Final Withdrawal and posts a spreadsheet logging every dinner and every transfer. The total comes to exactly $1,501. Mandy claims Clara ran an unlicensed food business and demands twenty times that amount as compensation, threatening to report her and seize her home.

Clara watches the colleagues she trusted calculate their payouts, realizing the scheme was planned from the very beginning.
