Ten years ago, Wren Bishop's best friend Lily was raped in the woods and drowned herself in the river, leaving a note that read: Wren saw him. Wren stayed silent, and the town of Havenwood never forgave her. Sloane wants justice for Lily, and she means to broadcast every one of Wren's memories to the crowd and the news crews. As the machine tears through her, the screen begins to rewind: a funeral, a burning house, a dog beaten to death, a snowball fight, a mango thrown away in secret.
