After class, Patricia Clemens and Janice Carter immediately rushed toward me aggressively.

Patricia said, "Charlotte, what did you mean?"

I glanced at them as if they were idiots. "What do you mean?"

Janice jostled me and said, "Just now you were scolded by Mary in front of the whole class, and you also implicated us. Do you want us to be scolded by her as well?"

Patricia crossed her arms, looked condescendingly at me, and sneered, "I didn't expect you to be so vicious under your disguise! I ranked last in the exam because I didn't want to get a good grade!"

The girls in the class who wanted to gain Patricia's favor immediately flattered her. They looked at me with disdain but looked at Patricia with flattering smiles on their faces.

"Patricia, don't waste your time on her. She is just a poor girl from the countryside. She can't even afford a designer dress. She can't compete with you at all!"

Since I didn't respond to her jostle just now, Janice probably thought I was a pushover and bullied me more arrogantly. "Apologize to us!"

I was immediately furious and glanced at them coldly. "You don't deserve my apology."

Janice and Patricia were probably stunned by my cold eyes.

They came back to their senses and were about to say something, but I took the opportunity to squeeze past Janice, who was blocking in front of me, and said, "Stay out of my way."

No matter how strong their family background was, I would hit them back if they hit me.
