After years of surviving attempts on her life, Eleanor Bell fakes her death and flees to a small border town in the south, taking a new identity and working in a flower shop. Everyone in Hudson City believes she died in the Jackson family's power struggle, and she lets them believe it.

Then Aria, the family's former Underboss, walks into the shop and recognizes her. Aria reveals that Roman Jackson, Eleanor's ex-husband and the family head, has kept watch over her grave for two years and tried to end his life there three times.
