From the back cover

Julian Thorne owns a gay bar and has money, patience, and a habit of getting what he wants. When he notices Leo Sterling, a beautiful twenty-year-old server and NYU computer science prodigy, he has him investigated. The file reveals a grandmother in long-term hospital care, crushing medical debt and loans, and two jobs. Julian offers a sponsorship contract.

Leo arrives at the office with a full health report and negotiates the terms line by line, asking only that guaranteed days for visiting his grandmother be written in with priority. Julian pays for the best specialists in the city. Then Leo appears at his door at eight in the morning with a suitcase, an apron, and the announcement that he is reporting for duty.

Julian meant to be the one in charge, yet Leo keeps setting the pace, offering himself and asking to be liked. Julian turns his head away from a kiss, and Leo, undeterred, finds other places to bite.

Inside the book Opening excerpt

Later, he found out he looked just like my first love. He buried his face in my chest, eyes red, and whimpered, "Can’t a dog... can't a dog bite here?"
