Eric arrives to collect Sarah, mocking David's delivery job and modest income. After they leave, Eric sends David a dashcam video of himself and Sarah kissing. David packs a suitcase and drafts another agreement, but a bank message reveals their entire three hundred thousand dollars is gone. Sarah admits she spent it on Eric's stock options and refuses to get it back.

David rushes to the hotel dinner, where Eric is on stage painting a rosy future. Sarah orders him out, and her coworkers whisper about her affair and their own investments. Eric taunts David again, but David stands his ground, demanding the money be returned.
