When a woman marries Robert Vance, she agrees to look after his four-year-old son, Brian Maxwell, for one month while Robert is away. But Brian refuses ordinary meals, demanding rice mixed with dog feces, and his tantrums drive her to distraction. Then a System binds itself to her, insisting she reform her wicked ways and raise the boy into the healthy future CEO he is meant to become.

The System blames her for Brian's eating complex and warns of the stomach cancer awaiting him. She protests that the child will eat nothing unless it is mixed with Shadow the Husky's waste, and the System, horrified, finally believes her. Yet when she tries to send the dog away, the System warns that Brian may have autistic tendencies from severe trauma, and Shadow is his only constant.

With Robert's return still two days off, she must keep the little tyrant fed, clean, and stable, one spoonful and one swat at a time.
