Finn is locked inside an industrial sterilization cabinet by his sister Joelle after he screams at her stepbrother Denis for holding a lighter to a kitten's tail. Joelle chains the door shut, ignoring his screams as the heat and chemicals consume him. By the time she returns from a vacation a week later, his body has already rotted and fused to the metal walls.

As Joelle muses about finally letting him out, a bodyguard tries to warn her that Finn has been silent for days, but she dismisses it as manipulation. Denis clings to her, playing the devoted brother, and she declares he is the only brother she will ever need. Finn's ghost watches, remembering how Denis faked a drowning to turn Joelle against him.

Joelle orders the cabinet unlocked so Finn can apologize to Denis, unaware that there is nothing left to release.
