Now, at twenty-five, she scrolls through videos of other men and wonders why her husband lives like a monk.

One night, Brent stumbles home drunk and clingy, collapsing into her arms and murmuring that he is better than the men she watches. The next morning, he is back to his robotic self, and Ava demands a divorce. He ignores her, then says he will consider it. But when she investigates her missing lingerie, she hears her name whispered from his shower and sees the red lace pulled inside.

Confronted, Brent deflects with a gift and a table of her favorite dishes. Ava is left wondering if his coldness is an act, and whether this marriage is truly over.
