On her wedding anniversary, Rochelle's husband Hank supposedly dies in a car crash while fetching her cake. His mother Judy and sister Lyra blame her, seize the funeral arrangements, and demand she sign over her house, car, and business. But Rochelle has lived this before: after being hounded into poverty and dying of cancer, she learned Hank faked his death to start a new life with his old flame Claudia and their child.
