When Chloe gives birth, Liam's sister, Isabella, hires security to keep Ava away from the hospital, certain Ava will make a scene. Liam texts Ava that he did it all for her, believing she will accept the child as her reward.

But Ava has already surrendered her residency and will soon leave for Kenya to work as a volunteer on a biomedical research project. Returning from Heidelberg to their Fifth Avenue penthouse, she finds Chloe installed there, Isabella mocking her career, and Liam tenderly caring for mother and baby. He asks her to attend the christening as the baby's mother, and chooses the name Finnian, the name Ava and Liam once picked for their own child.

Ava agrees, packs away every trace of herself, and resolves to disappear from their lives for good.
