No Second Chances for the Man Who Broke Me

From the back cover

Jasmine Moore accepts a million dollars from Victoria Sullivan to save her dying father, and tells Rhys Sullivan she is leaving him. He answers by drawing a silver letter opener across his wrist, using his own life to force his mother to back down and to keep Jasmine bound to him.

Once married, Rhys turns their union into punishment. He replaces her diamond with a plastic toy ring before a hundred guests, parades other women, and makes her beg in writing for grocery money. When her father needs fifty thousand for surgery, she kneels and barks for him; he pays her five hundred dollars and calls her a good little lapdog. By the time she reaches the hospital, her father is gone.

Five days later, divorce papers in hand, Jasmine is barred from his office and finds Rhys with Savannah Locke. He tears up the papers and tells her she will never leave him unless she is dead.
