From the back cover

Rhea is the fated mate of Leon, the Alpha heir of Shadowclaw pack. Yet every year on her birthday, Leon spends the day with Nora, his childhood friend whose father died protecting Leon's father. This year, Rhea sees Nora's post online and recognizes the watch she gave Leon on the hand in the photo. She quietly throws away the meal she cooked for him and eats alone, having already decided to break up and return to Frosthowl pack to become its Alpha heir.

When Leon calls, anxious about the post, Rhea answers calmly and agrees to everything. The next morning she ignores his calls and refuses to make him breakfast. He offers her a cheap bracelet, but she shows the watch her mother sent and declines. She spends the day with friends and returns late, telling him she is tired and will sleep in the guest room.

Rhea video-calls her parents, the Alpha of Frosthowl pack, and tells them she is coming home for good. At dinner, her friends ask what will happen with Leon.

Inside the book Opening excerpt

Once again, he didn't spend my birthday with me this year.

Because today is also his childhood friend Nora's birthday.

I opened Nora's Ins, and sure enough, there was a new post.

"Grateful for your company every year on my birthday. We promised to spend every future birthday together!"

The photo showed two hands making heart signs in front of a cake.
