At the dinner celebrating Clay Henson's inheritance of the Henson Group, Samantha Henson's husband, Cole Graves, drops to his knees and confesses that Clay is not their son but the child of his late brother and the widowed Catherine Lawrence. The son Samantha raised, he says, was swapped at birth with her own brain-damaged boy.
Catherine and Cole's mother, Moira Winters, perform their shock and press Samantha to let Clay keep the fortune, while Samantha's furious parents accuse Cole of scheming for the Henson wealth. Cole urges Clay to honor both mothers, and Catherine begs for her son back.
