The Don’s Neglected Wife

From the back cover

Sera Hart flies to Tripoli to bring home her husband, Don Vito Hart, after being told he is trapped in a firefight. The journey costs her half a million dollars and nearly everything she has. But his underboss Enzo Stark tells her the truth: Vito never left the country, and the business trip was a lie. A photo on her phone shows Vito smiling beside Rosa Quinn, the woman he once swore on his mother's grave never to see again.

Back home, Sera steps into an elevator and overhears Rosa on the phone with Vito, who does not recognize his own wife's voice. The doors open on Vito himself, who embraces Rosa and kisses her while Sera watches. He says only that she should let it go, that it is not what she thinks.

Sera is three months pregnant and has told no one, least of all Vito. When he leaves her again for the night, she picks up the phone and says one word: divorce.
