Memories of my past life made me clench my fists.
My mother and sister had already pushed open the coffin lid with excitement.
I instinctively stepped back.
The joy on their faces froze the moment they saw the Zombie Queen.
Then, just like before, my mother growled at me.
"Leo, get over here!"
I looked at them warily, stepping back again.
This time, no one was forcing me to be a groom to a corpse.
I refused to live in a cramped coffin, intimate with a cold body, ever again.
If they forced me, I'd smash my head against the coffin and die.
Then none of them would escape.
Unexpectedly, my brother rushed out from behind me.
"Mom, let me be the groom!" His eyes shone with excitement.
My mother's expression changed.
"Ethan, don't be rash, come back."
Ethan urged her, "Mom, hurry, or she'll wake up and it'll be too late."
My mother hesitated no longer. She cut Ethan's hand and chanted a spell.
Ethan was incredibly cooperative, climbing into the coffin before she even pushed him.
Inside, he waved at us. "Mom, Dad, go. I'll be fine."
Seeing this, I knew my brother had been reborn too.
I said nothing, turned around, and ran out of the tomb.
