Seven years into her marriage, Bella Beaufort discovers that her childhood sweetheart Steven has a six-year-old son, Ollie, with another woman, Ada Fowler. Bella once took a knife for Steven, losing their unborn child and any chance of motherhood, and he had sworn that having her was enough.
