Begged Forgiveness Then Kidnapped My Child

From the back cover

Rachel's mother has always favored her brother Jackson's wife, Vivian, and once forced Rachel's sick daughter, Lily, to donate bone marrow to Vivian's son. When Rachel exposed the family online, her mother tearfully apologized, and Rachel, understanding a mother's fear, cleared Vivian's name and bought gifts as an apology.

Then Lily's kindergarten teacher calls: two women claiming to be family have come to take the child. Racing to the school, Rachel is rammed by a black car — driven by Jackson, who insists on following proper accident procedures to delay her. By the time she reaches the kindergarten, her mother and Vivian are shoving Lily into a car. A crowd stops them, but the two women kneel and plead that Vivian's dying son needs a compatibility test, turning onlookers against Rachel.

As Jackson tries to force her into the vehicle, Rachel reveals the cross necklace Lily's father left her — proof of identity her family refuses to accept. Her mother slaps her, Vivian snatches the necklace and beats her, and Jackson demands she kneel and apologize or be cast out forever.
