His mother, Nora Glover, still asks when they will marry, while Charles grows cold and leaves after Cindy avoids his kiss. That night he posts that he is single.

Once, Cindy would have begged him to stay. Now she simply turns off her phone and sleeps—until a call from his friend wakes her.
