Kevin Ellis, a wheelchair user with prosthetic legs, lives quietly in a small apartment and is asleep by ten. Yet his downstairs neighbor, Patrick Jenkins of unit 201, floods the building's group chat with accusations that Kevin dances and thumps until the early hours, and calls the police on him.

When Officer Ramirez and his partner arrive, Kevin rolls up his pant legs to show his prosthetics, which he removes at night. Patrick refuses to believe him, insisting prosthetics cannot stop a man from dancing. To settle the matter, the police leave a sound monitor in Kevin's living room.

That night Kevin sleeps soundly, but the device suddenly spikes off the charts. Patrick and the police pound on his door, and the noise seems to come from the empty apartment above him, unit 401, where only a dog is found. After the dog is taken away, the eerie dance steps begin again.

I rolled up my pants, revealing my prosthetic legs.

The neighbor scoffed, "So prosthetics mean you can't dance?"

Left with no choice, the police installed a sound monitor.

That very night, as I slept soundly, the device suddenly spiked off the charts!

The neighbor brought people to smash my door, claiming I was causing a severe disturbance.

But the noise, it was clearly coming from the empty apartment directly above me, unit 401!

To clear my name, I led everyone upstairs.

We only found a dog in 401.

The police said the sound came from the dog scratching its cage.
