My Delivery Room Was Their Film Set

From the back cover

The day Scarlett goes into labor, she is wheeled into the delivery room and finds her husband Liam Hayes's childhood friend, Chloe Miller, waiting to deliver her baby. Chloe wears a suggestive nurse uniform and poses for cameras rigged around the room, while Liam films her, insisting she is an actress practicing for a film role. No obstetrician is present. When Scarlett begs for a doctor, Chloe injects her with anesthetic, and she wakes to find her third child gone.

Recovering in the hospital, Scarlett overhears Liam and Chloe in the corridor: Chloe is pregnant with Liam's child, and he has invested twenty million in a film to make her a star. She learns her first two babies were also lost to Chloe's practice deliveries. Liam brings pizza and calls the loss an accident, but Scarlett, hollowed by grief, checks out into the snow.

As she wanders past the places where Liam once proposed and married her, she resolves to call the police and make them answer for what they have done.
