On her wedding anniversary, a wife discovers a hidden photo album in her husband Arthur Jones's study. Inside are decades of wedding portraits of Arthur with another woman, Sylvia Clarke, taken every year from age forty to sixty, each marked with the words "Eternal Love." Every anniversary he claimed to be away, he was posing for these pictures with his first love.

When she calls her son to check Arthur's excuse of a business trip, he covers for his father. Tracing the studio from the album, she finds Arthur and Sylvia together in wedding attire, their old affection plain to see. Confronted, Arthur shows no remorse, only irritation that she touched his belongings and a plea not to cause a scene.

After more than forty years of marriage, she had waited for the wedding shoot he always promised. Now she must decide what to do with the rest of her life.
