For seven years, Vivian has given up her career to raise her son Carter, running the household while her husband Nathan works. But when Carter publicly calls her the nanny and tells her she is embarrassing in front of other parents at Windsor Elementary, and Nathan sides with the boy instead of her, Vivian decides she is finished being the unpaid help.

She stops cooking, cleaning and doing laundry, spends her own savings on clothes, skincare and self-care, and moves Nathan's things into the guest room. Nathan and Carter only push back harder, insisting she is selfish for wanting anything of her own.

When Carter declares she does nothing and lives off his father's money, Vivian must decide how far she will go to be seen.
