From the back cover
When Eleanor collapses with a heart attack, only her son Ben Dover, a heart surgeon, can perform the surgery that will save her. His wife Winona knows this moment all too well: in her last life she begged Ben to come, and he refused, leaving Eleanor to die. Then Ben told everyone Winona never called, and Johnny, her father-in-law, killed her for it. Now she has woken back on the very day it all began, and this time she will not let Ben slip free of the blame.
She calls him in front of the ER staff, but Ben dismisses her, choosing instead to stay with his mistress, Ima Schit. Blocked and hung up on, Winona turns to a livestream, begging strangers to find him as Eleanor's heart stops. Doctor Lowe and the hospital director hear Ben refuse to return, and the broadcast carries every word to a growing crowd.
Eleanor dies anyway. As Johnny appears, hollow with grief, Winona must face the man who once ended her life for a death that was never hers.
Inside the book Opening excerpt
Did I call him? Nope. I just stood there, watching her gasp like a fish out of water.
In my last life, I'd begged Ben to come save her. He brushed me off, accusing me of interrupting his time with his mistress, Ima Schit. No matter how much I pleaded, he wouldn't come.
Eleanor had died in the hospital.
And when Johnny, my father-in-law, demanded answers, Ben flipped the script, saying I'd never even called. He made Eleanor's death my fault.
Johnny, blinded by grief and fury, killed me.
